About

Asia Shareholder Action is an Asia-Pacific-based initiative to empower shareholders to take action on climate change through engagement with company management, the exercise of our rights as shareholders and our responsibility as stewards of the companies.

Investors taking real action on climate change is urgent and important, and through these activities, we aim to enhance long-term, sustainable corporate and shareholder value.

Through this initiative, group of climate finance experts from international environmental NGOs work with institutional investors to encourage companies within the fossil fuel investment value chain, which is the largest source of emissions exacerbating climate change (mining companies, power producers, and the financial institutions that finance and invest in them) to properly manage their climate change, ESG and other financial risks.
